What if it rains on the day of our session?
Cozumel's tropical showers are usually brief, and sometimes they make for the most dramatic photos. However, if conditions make shooting genuinely impossible, we'll give you two options: a full refund of your booking deposit, or an adapted session in Cozumel's beautiful town centre: colonial architecture, colourful streets, covered spots. We make the decision together on the morning of your session. We will never push you into a shoot you won't love.
What if our cruise ship misses Cozumel port entirely?
If your ship misses Cozumel port due to weather or an official itinerary change, we'll refund your booking deposit in full, no questions asked. We simply ask for confirmation of the official port cancellation notice from your cruise line. Please note this applies to full port cancellations only, not personal cancellations or changes.
What if our ship is delayed but still arrives in Cozumel?
No problem. We'll wait for you. Ship delays happen, and we plan for them. Just let us know as soon as you have an updated arrival time and we'll adjust accordingly. Your session starts when you arrive.
Will I make it back to the ship in time?
Absolutely. We schedule every session around your ship's departure time and always finish with plenty of time for you to get back to the port. We've photographed families from Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity, and Disney cruises, so we know exactly how the port schedule works. You'll never feel rushed.
What does a typical session day look like?
Here's a rough timeline for a morning cruise session: You arrive at the port and grab a taxi (5-10 minutes to our location). We meet you at a beautiful beach spot, get everyone comfortable, and start shooting. A Classic session runs about 60 minutes, Premium about 90. After the session, most families stay to enjoy the beach or beach club for the rest of the day. When you're ready to head back, there are plenty of taxis to take you to the port.
Where exactly do we meet you?
All our locations are just a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the cruise port. Quick, easy and completely safe. Simply hop in one of the taxis waiting right at the pier and show them our location address. After booking, we'll send you the exact address, a Google Maps link, and simple taxi instructions so getting there is completely stress-free. We'll be there waiting when you arrive.
What should we wear?
Light, comfortable clothing in coordinating colours works beautifully in Cozumel's natural light. We'd suggest avoiding busy patterns or logos. For beach sessions, whites, creams and soft blues photograph particularly well. After booking, we'll send you personalised styling tips to help you feel confident and look your best.
Can we choose our session location?
Absolutely. We have favourite spots all over the island (beach, jungle, waterfront, town) for every style and mood. Tell us what you're drawn to and we'll suggest the perfect location. After years on this island, we know every hidden gem.
How many photos will we receive?
Classic sessions (60 min) include 35-40 fully edited images. Premium sessions (90 min) include 55-60 fully edited images. Every photo is carefully selected and professionally edited in our signature bright, warm style.
When do we receive our photos?
Your gallery will be ready within 3-5 days of your session. You'll receive a link to a beautiful private online gallery via Pixieset where you can view, download and share all your images. We know you want to share them while the trip is still fresh, so we work fast.
How does payment work?
A small deposit secures your date at the time of booking, paid securely online. The remaining balance is collected in person on the day of your session via Zelle, Wise, Revolut, or cash. Tell us about your trip at rivieraphotostudio.com/plan/ and we'll send you full pricing details.
