Why Families Choose Us in Cozumel

Sessions built around real families, not perfect ones.

We work with kids of every age, including the ones who won't sit still. We've photographed newborns, toddlers who eat sand, teenagers who'd rather be on their phone, and every age in between. We keep sessions moving with games, movement, and natural prompts so nobody needs to hold a smile for an hour.

Groups of 2 to 23, including multigenerational families. We've coordinated sessions with infant carriers, wheelchairs, and three generations who haven't been in the same photo in years. We plan the group combinations in advance so the session runs smoothly and everyone gets the pairings they want.

Built for vacation schedules. Cruise passengers with a six-hour port window. Resort guests juggling excursions. Families with a toddler who naps at 2 PM. We time your session around your actual schedule, not ours, with morning and evening slots available.

Every combination captured. We don't just shoot the big group photo. We capture the subgroups that matter: just the kids, just the grandparents, each sibling pair, each family unit. The kind of portraits that make people ask who took them. Photos you'll want to print, frame, and show everyone.

Best Cozumel Beaches for Family Photos

We match the location to your family's needs.

Playa Mia is where we shoot most of our family sessions in Cozumel. It's a free public beach, five to ten minutes by taxi from the cruise port or most hotels. We've worked groups of every size on this beach, from young couples with a single toddler up to multigenerational reunions of twenty-plus. The late afternoon light is the best we've found on the island.

Paradise Beach is the spot for families with young children. The water stays calm close to shore, so kids can play while we shoot. The beach club has everything you need to stay for the day after the session.

Chankanaab Park gives you tropical gardens, a small sheltered beach, and stone ruins all in one place. It works best for smaller families since the spots are intimate and you walk between them. Older kids tend to enjoy the exploring.

If you're staying at a resort with beach access, we can come to you. This works especially well for families with very young children. No taxi, and a nap or feeding can happen between shots. The one thing to check is whether your resort allows outside photographers. Some don't.

Family Photography FAQ

How do you handle young kids during a photo session?

We keep things moving. Kids do best when they're playing, not posing, so we mix guided moments with games and movement to capture genuine expressions. We've photographed plenty of toddlers and know when to push for a great shot and when to let them run.

Can you photograph large or multigenerational groups?

Yes. We've photographed groups from 2 to 23 people, including families with infant carriers, mobility aids, and everything in between. We plan the group combinations in advance so the session flows smoothly and everyone gets the photos they want.

What's the best time of day for family photos in Cozumel?

Late afternoon gives the softest light and the most comfortable temperatures for kids. Morning sessions work well for families with young children who nap in the afternoon. We'll suggest the best window based on your family's schedule.

How long does a family photo session last?

Our Classic session is 60 minutes and works well for families of 2-6. Our Premium session gives you 90 minutes, which we recommend for larger groups or anyone who wants photos at multiple spots.

What should our family wear for beach photos?

Coordinating colors look great. Pick 2-3 complementary tones and let everyone choose pieces they're comfortable in. Avoid matching outfits exactly. Whites, blues, and earth tones photograph well on the beach. We send a styling guide after booking.
