Why Choose Us for Your Cozumel Proposal

We've done this dozens of times. You only need to do it once.

We help plan the whole thing. This isn't just a photography booking. Once you reach out, we'll help you choose the right location, time the moment for the best light, and figure out how to get your partner there without raising suspicion. We've coordinated dozens of proposals on the island, from quiet sunset beaches to busy park walkways.

Completely discreet on the day. Two ways we keep the surprise. On a public beach we blend in with other tourists, set up further down with a long lens. Your partner doesn't see us. At a place like Chankanaab you book what looks like a regular shoot and the proposal happens inside it. We've never spoiled one.

The celebration session afterward. The proposal itself lasts a few seconds. The real photo opportunity comes in the 30 to 45 minutes after, when the excitement is still raw and genuine. We transition into a relaxed engagement shoot at the same spot. Ring details. Portraits together. Every wide-eyed, can't-stop-smiling reaction. Most couples say this part is even better than the proposal photos.

Fast turnaround for sharing the news. Your gallery is ready in 3 to 5 days. Most of our proposal clients want to announce their engagement while they're still traveling. We make sure you have the photos to do it.

Best Cozumel Spots for a Surprise Proposal

Privacy, a beautiful backdrop, and a natural reason to be there.

Playa Mia is where we do most of our sunset proposals in Cozumel. It's a free public beach on the west side, which gives us good late light and enough people around that nobody notices the photographer. Your partner just sees a couple on a beach. We're set up further down with the long lens.

Chankanaab Park is our most-booked spot for morning proposals. The park closes before sunset, so evening light isn't an option here. But it's the right venue for a different kind of surprise. You book what looks like a planned engagement or vacation shoot. One of you knows the proposal is built into it. Your partner doesn't. Once the moment happens, we keep shooting around the park's gardens, lagoon, and stone ruins for the celebration session.

If you're staying at a resort with beach access, we can come to you. Often this is the most discreet option, since your partner already expects to be there. The one thing to check is whether your resort allows outside photographers. Some don't. Once that's sorted, we plan the spot and the time around what works best on the property.

How It Works

We handle the logistics so you can focus on the moment. Before your trip, we'll help you choose the right location and time, plan how to get your partner there, and coordinate everything discreetly. On the day, we arrive early, position ourselves as tourists, and capture the proposal as it happens. After the surprise, we transition into a relaxed celebration shoot so you leave with photos of the whole experience.

Proposal Photography FAQ

How do you photograph a surprise proposal without being seen?

Two ways, depending on the venue. At a free public beach like Playa Mia, we arrive early, blend in with the tourists, and set up further down with a long lens. Your partner just sees a couple on a beach. At a place like Chankanaab Park, where booking a photographer is normal anyway, you book what looks like a planned vacation shoot. One of you knows the proposal is built into it. Your partner doesn't.

Can you help me plan the proposal location and timing?

Yes. We'll suggest locations based on the look you want, time of day for the best light, and how to get your partner there naturally. We've helped plan dozens of proposals on the island and know which spots give you privacy, great backdrops, and easy logistics.

What happens after the proposal? Do we keep shooting?

Absolutely. Once the surprise is over, we transition into a relaxed engagement session at the same location or nearby. This is when we get the beautiful posed portraits, the ring detail shots, and the candid celebration moments. Most couples say this is the best part.

How far in advance should I book a proposal photographer?

As soon as you have your travel dates. We book one session per time slot, so popular sunset slots go quickly during high season (December through April). Two to four weeks is ideal, but we've pulled off proposals with less than a week's notice when the calendar allows.

What if it rains on the day of the proposal?

Cozumel's rain is usually brief afternoon showers, not all-day storms. If weather threatens your plan, we'll work with you to adjust the timing or location. We've rescheduled proposals same-day with great results. Your deposit is always protected.
